Job summary

Houston Astros, LLC is seeking a Tournament Operations Intern to support the team in preparation for the marquee Texas Children’s Houston Open. The role involves assisting with on-site course build, vendor coordination, and hands-on event support in a professional sports setting.

The candidate will work closely with Operations leadership, vendors, and departments such as Volunteers, Ticketing, Sponsorship, Finance and Retail. Office and course environments may be involved.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a related field or recent graduate between January and May 2027.
• Reside in or relocate to the Houston area for January–May 2027.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Memorial Park Golf Course office and offsite locations.
• Strong interpersonal, proactive, solution-driven teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and maintain discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of on-site operations for the Texas Children’s Houston Open and other events.
• Support site-build planning, vendor timelines, and on-site activations during tournament week.
• Act as a secondary contact for vendors and coordinate with partners and volunteers.
• Compile inventory of storage equipment and tournament assets.
• Manage childcare setup with PGA Tour at off-site locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain high professional standards.
