Job summary

Astros Golf Foundation, the host organization of Houston’s PGA TOUR Texas Children’s Houston Open, seeks a Sponsorship Relations Intern to gain hands‑on experience in sponsor communications and activation logistics. You will support partner interactions and event deliverables, working with multiple departments during a busy internship period.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, and seasonal, requiring on-site presence at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston from January 4 to May 5, 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently a junior or graduate student in a related field (Sports Management, PGA Management, Hospitality, Business Management) between January and May 2027.
• Reside or relocate to/near Houston, TX area Jan 4–May 5, 2027, at your own expense.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Memorial Park Golf Course and offsite locations.
• Desire to gain experience in a professional sports/entertainment environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team‑oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support tournament staff with activation of sponsorship contracts.
• Manage partnership fulfillment, including tracking deadlines and deliverables.
• Serve as a second contact for sponsors and support the Honorary Observer program.
• Assist Sales/Activation with annual proof of performance/recap reports.
• Aid in miscellaneous operational duties on course and in the tournament office.
• Provide Pro‑am and event support.
