Job summary

Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking a Golf Pro Shop Assistant Manager to oversee daily Pro Shop operations, Outside Services, cart barn, and practice facilities. The role includes staff supervision, guest service, and coordination of merchandising and golf programs.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and at least one year in golf operations; PGA affiliation is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for district vehicle duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in golf operations, reservations, retail, recreation, hospitality, or a related environment.
• Relevant college coursework may substitute for up to six months of the required experience.
• Golf industry experience and/or PGA affiliation is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record to operate District vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the daily operation of the Pro Shop, Outside Services, cart barn, and practice facility, including directing and supporting assigned staff.
• Assists with Pro Shop administrative functions, including preparing daily cash deposits, balancing receipts, completing reports, and maintaining records.
• Opens and closes the Pro Shop and assists with supervision of starting times and pace of play.
• Assists with Pro Shop merchandising activities, including purchasing, receiving, displays, pricing, inventory control, and maintaining an organized retail environment.
• Assists with planning and supervising Junior Golf programs, group instruction, and other golf-related programming.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
