Job summary

City-of-Pelha's municipal golf course seeks a Golf Professional to lead daily operations, grow the game, and deliver excellent customer service for players of all ages and skill. This role blends leadership with instruction, managing programs, lessons, junior golf, and tournament operations, while coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, opening/closing the facility, weekend/holiday work, and building strong relationships with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in golf industry or related field.
• Two years related experience working in the golf industry or equivalent.
• PGA of America membership preferred.
• AL Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Creates, promotes and schedules programs associated with golf instruction.
• Teach private and group golf lessons.
• Manages junior golf program.
• Plays golf with members and guests.
• Assist with tournament operations.
• Assist with golf department as needed including supervising employees and daily operations.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and long days during peak season.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others.
