Job summary

City of Pelham seeks a Golf Professional to lead instructional programs, teach private and group lessons, and grow youth and community participation at the municipal course.

The role requires leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to manage daily operations, tournaments, and weekend/holiday staffing. PGA pathway support and a valid AL driver's license are provided by the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in golf-related field or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in the golf industry or a related field.
• PGA Membership preferred; City may reimburse/certify levels 1–3 and playing ability after enrollment. Must complete PGA Certification within three years.

Responsibilities

• Creates, promotes and schedules programs for golf instruction.
• Teach private and group golf lessons.
• Manage junior golf program.
• Play golf with members and guests.
• Assist with tournament operations.
• Supervise golf staff and daily operations; open/close facility.
