Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf seeks a First Assistant Golf Professional to support Golf Shop and Guest Services operations, coordinating with the Director of Golf to deliver first-class service. You will help meet revenue targets, manage staff, and oversee tournament operations, benefiting from a team-focused environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two to three years’ experience in a related field with supervisory experience preferred.
• PGA membership or in the process of obtaining is preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certification, and other safety certifications as required.
• Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documents and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Golf Shop and Guest Services.
• Act as liaison between Head Golf Professional and golf departments; meet to discuss procedures and revenue targets.
• Assist with all tournament operations and budgets to meet financial goals.
• Provide staff supervision, evaluations, and development in golf operations and merchandising.
• Train staff on check-in procedures and customer service standards.
• Respond to inquiries from guests, regulatory agencies, or business contacts.
• Attend events, exhibitions, and seminars to stay current with industry trends.
