Job summary

Up To Par Management LLC is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent/General Manager for The Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. The role leads agronomy, maintenance strategy, and staff on a premier WV course, emphasizing bentgrass health, fairways, and greens to championship standards.

The position includes limited administrative duties, a hands-on approach, and autonomy within a respected leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• GCSAA Class A Member preferred.
• Proven experience maintaining high-end daily-fee or resort golf courses.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Budgeting and planning experience preferred.
• Desire to mentor staff and build a strong, engaged maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of golf course maintenance, turf health, and conditioning.
• Maintain bentgrass fairways and greens to championship standards.
• Develop and execute annual fertility, chemical, and agronomic plans.
• Supervise planting, fertilizing, irrigation, drainage, and chemical applications.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality playing conditions for members and guests.
• Oversee maintenance of clubhouse surrounds and related areas.
• Manage maintenance equipment, inventory, and repair schedules.
• Implement and enforce a comprehensive safety program.
• Oversee irrigation systems and water management strategies.
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff (Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Irrigation Technician).
• Coordinate staff scheduling and workflow.
• Foster a positive, accountable, safety-focused team culture.
• Communicate maintenance plans and course conditions with guests and stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
• Track expenses and support overall financial performance.
• Communicate with Regional Operations leadership and participate in planning.
