Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a dedicated staff member to support Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs aboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX. The role covers customer service, event planning, equipment rental, and day-to-day program administration to ensure successful community recreation activities.

You will assist with registrations, facility operations, inventory, and coordination of workshops, outings and pro-social events to enhance the base

Qualifications

• Combination of six months general experience and six months specialized experience in customer service or recreation activities.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of goals, principles and procedures for organizing leisure time activities.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR mission and Community Recreation activities and their suitability for various groups.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain records and reports.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with computers and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, information and support for Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Process sales and collect fees using POS systems and computer programs.
• Ensure daily sales accuracy and complete a Daily Activity Report (DAR) after each shift.
• Assist in processing internet registrations and event sign-ups.
• Check in/out equipment, manage inventory and collect rental fees as applicable.
• Notify supervisor of damage or loss and ensure proper forms and procedures are followed.
• Support recruitment, training and scheduling of Community Recreation staff.
• Plan, publicize and execute MWR programs and special events.
