Job summary

The City of Bartow is seeking a semiskilled maintainer to care for the municipal golf course under regular supervision. Duties include mowing, edging, pruning, and basic repairs to course facilities, with attention to landscaping and daily upkeep.

Responsibilities cover applying fertilizers, weed control, and participation in IPM inspections; operating related equipment; and maintaining the clubhouse grounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and mow the golf course and facilities.
• Mow fairways, roughs, and greens; adjust pin locations and rake traps.
• Top dress, seed, fertilize, and apply landscape mulch as needed.
• Prune trees and hedges; edge landscape beds; weed by hand.
• Conduct IPM inspections weekly and apply pesticides/fungicides as directed.
