Job summary

The Naperville Park District is seeking a Golf Maintenance II to perform routine maintenance and mowing for the golf course and clubhouse grounds under the supervision of the Superintendent of Golf Grounds, Assistant Superintendent, or Golf Specialist.

Responsibilities include maintaining course areas, operating mowers and equipment, collecting trash, and supporting special projects while upholding District customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge or ability to perform basic landscape tasks or use maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently with general direction from supervisor.

• Maintain golf course areas, sand bunkers, and ornamental beds, shrubs, and trees, including mowing, weeding, planting and watering, mulching, and pruning.
• Operate and maintain golf course mowers, small maintenance vehicles, and power equipment
• Collect garbage, litter pickup, and cleaning of bathroom facilities
• Provide support to special projects.
• Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Golf Grounds, Assistant Superintendent, or Golf Specialist, the Golf Maintenance II position is responsible for routine maintenance work and mowing involved in the care and upkeep of the golf course and clubhouse grounds.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course areas, sand bunkers, and ornamental beds, shrubs, and trees, including but not limited to mowing, weeding, planting and watering, mulching, and pruning.
• Operate and maintain golf course mowers, small maintenance vehicles, and power equipment
• Collect garbage, litter pickup, and cleaning of bathroom facilities
• Provide support to special projects.
• Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.

• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Other duties as assigned.
