Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls seeks a Golf Assistant Superintendent to lead maintenance crews and supervise daily golf course operations, including turf care, irrigation, and course enhancements. Train staff, enforce safety and city policies, and coordinate with the Head Superintendent on projects and schedules.

Ideal candidates have Associates degree in Turf Management or Plant Science or two years of related golf course experience, plus a valid Idaho driver’s license and pest control licensure

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in turf management or plant science.
• Two years of golf course maintenance experience or four seasons in similar roles.
• Valid Idaho driver’s license and pest control/license within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise golf maintenance staff and crews.
• Enforce safety procedures and city policies on all operations.
• Oversee irrigation, mowing, aerification, and turf maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports and assist Head Superintendent with planning and future operations.
• Coordinate with Head Superintendent to schedule projects and assignments.
