Job summary

Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to lead all course maintenance for Elkhorn Golf Club, overseeing turf care, irrigation systems, equipment, budgeting, and a dedicated maintenance team.

Ideal candidates have agronomy/turf grass experience, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering an exceptional golf experience. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or 2–4 year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least four years of golf course maintenance experience in agronomy or turf.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual maintenance budget and operating plan.
• Plan staffing schedules to meet quality standards.
• Supervise drainage, irrigation, pumping, and water reservoir systems.
• Oversee turf, plant, shrub, and tree care; implement fertilizer and IPM programs.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance program.
