The City of Pharr is seeking a Golf Course Landscaping Superintendent to lead golf course landscape maintenance and ongoing improvements to keep playing areas healthy and presentation-ready.
You will supervise the landscape staff, plan workloads, inspect course conditions, and oversee care of trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pharr, Texas. Typical schedule may include evenings or weekends as needed to meet course needs.

Key responsibilities include supervising and coordinating landscape staff; planning workloads and assigning crews; performing routine course inspections to evaluate conditions and recommend enhancements; and overseeing the cultivation, trimming, care, and treatment of trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
Required knowledge and skills include:
You’ll start early onsite in Pharr, walking key areas to get a clear read on turf, plantings, and overall presentation before play ramps up. After a quick check-in with the team, you’ll move between holes and landscape zones, noting what needs attention now versus what can be scheduled for later in the week. Midday often includes documenting observations, adjusting sequencing as conditions change, and confirming equipment is ready for the next shift of work. The typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays when course needs require it.
