Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University seeks a Buckingham Golf Center Operations Student Assistant to help run daily operations, setup, and student-support at the Buckingham Golf Learning Center. This experiential facility supports PGA Golf Management teaching, practice, and coaching, under supervision of the Director of Golf Instructional Operations.

Qualifications

• Current FGCU student, preferably within the PGA Golf Management Program or related field.
• Able to work approximately 20 hours per week with schedule flexibility based on facility needs, class/lab schedules, open‑practice times, and events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to operate a golf cart after safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily outside services and operational support for Buckingham Golf Learning Center.
• Manage range ball operations: picking, washing, sorting, staging, distributing balls.
• Set up, maintain, and reset practice areas (driving range, short game, putting, bunkers).
• Support facility upkeep: collect tees, organize stations, store equipment, monitor debris, maintain appearance.
• Assist with training aids setup: targets, cones, signage, and instructional materials.
