Job summary

The PGA of America is seeking a Career Consultant to support South Florida. You will provide career counseling and coaching to PGA Professionals throughout their career life cycle, including job search, resume development, interviewing skills, offer negotiation, and retirement planning.

Promote and grow the use of PGA ExecuSearch, the PGA Job Board, and other employment tools across PGA platforms. Assist employers, gather industry data, and contribute editorial content for Section newsletters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Professional Golf Management (Executive Management preferred) or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in golf operations or golf industry management/leadership.
• Employment/club relations experience and HR training preferred.
• Knowledge of the golf industry and/or golf facility operations; knowledge of PGA of America and Section operations preferred.
• Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide insightful and meaningful career counseling and career coaching to PGA Professionals throughout their career life cycle.
• Promote and grow the utilization of PGA ExecuSearch, Job Seeker Profiles, the PGA Job Board and other employment tools across PGA platforms.
• Assist PGA Professionals in gathering and utilizing information from PGA and industry data resources.
• Provide editorial content and articles for Section newsletters, PGA magazine, and other industry publications.
• Engage in proactive outreach and collaborate with other Career Consultants to identify candidates for available opportunities.
• Attend Section tournaments/events to cultivate relationships, foster goodwill, and support PGA Section staff.
