Job summary

Mmsteam in Pekin, IL is seeking an Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician to keep CNC and PLC systems running. You will work hands-on with CNC machines and industrial electrical equipment, diagnosing issues and performing repairs to minimize downtime.

This full-time, dayshift role offers overtime opportunities and a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll read schematics, diagnose PLC problems, and maintain drives, motors, and panels.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with 480V systems.
• Experience reading schematics and prints.
• Experience working in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems (up to 480V, 3-phase).
• Diagnose and fix PLC issues (Allen-Bradley focus).
• Work on CNC machines and machine tool systems.
• Repair motors, VFDs, control panels, and components.
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements.
• Respond to breakdowns and get machines back online quickly.
