Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Springfield, IL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support our plant operations and maintenance teams. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment, implement long-term fixes, and help minimize downtime across plant operations.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, experience with PLCs and HMIs, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in Electro-Mechanical Tech/Engineering Tech/Electrical Tech
Minimum 5 years in electro-mechanical tech in manufacturing
Strong aptitude for electrical/mechanical systems and PLCs/HMI

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to recover from equipment outages and identify long-term solutions
Analyze equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs
Support Plastics Manufacturing to address technical problems with root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
Develop and maintain a library of electrical and mechanical drawings, PLC/HMI programs
Identify timely and cost-effective replacements for obsolete components
Manage, maintain, and improve remote interface capabilities
Other duties as assigned
