Job summary

Bedrock Data is seeking a backend engineer in San Mateo, CA to build and scale our cloud security platform. You’ll collaborate with product, customers, and investors to drive the product from 0 → 1 → N and shape the technology strategy. We welcome applicants at all levels and expect you to take ownership of backend services.

You will work with Golang, Python, Node.js, AWS, Neo4j, and SQL. Design robust services, improve security, and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven backend engineer experience, preferably in security domains.
• Proficiency with backend cloud tech (Java, databases incl. Neo4j).
• Strong problem solving and independent work skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend services.
• Ensure service security and scalability across stack.
• Maintain and improve our tech stack (Golang, Python, Node, AWS, Neo4j).
• Collaborate with engineers, product, marketing, customers, and investors.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and system design.
