Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineer Guidance Navigation and Control (Level 2) to join a multidisciplinary team onsite. You will design, develop, implement, verify, and test GNC algorithms, software, and simulation tools to enable safe and effective air vehicle performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s with 0 years.
Knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft flight dynamics.
Experience using linear control principles for feedback design.
Experience analyzing nonlinear simulations of aircraft dynamics.
Experience with MATLAB for data processing and visualization.
Active Top Secret clearance or current eligibility.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test GNC algorithms, software, and simulation tools.
Develop air vehicle control laws to meet performance and stability requirements.
Analyze flight test data and support flight test activities.
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team onsite in San Diego.
