Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Guidance and Control Engineer to join the Missiles and Fire Control team in Orlando. You will design, implement, verify and test GNC algorithms for aircraft, spacecraft and launch vehicles across powered, coast, orbital and staging operations.

Expect to work on embedded systems, sensor fusion and Kalman techniques within a fast-paced environment. The role requires a BS in a STEM field with 1+ years of relevant experience, US Citizenship, and proficiency

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, physics, computer science, applied mathematics or similar STEM with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Interim Clearance is needed to start; must be a US Citizen.
• Fluent in MATLAB, Python, C++; experience solving problems and developing algorithms in GNC domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and verify embedded algorithms for inertial tracking/navigation and sensor fusion.
• Validate complex models and simulations using Kalman filters and related techniques.
• Evaluate system performance in challenging environments and verify requirements at system/subsystem levels.
• Support ground and flight test activities including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) testing.
• Collaborate with small teams across multiple programs in various stages of development.
