Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer to join the Missiles and Fire Control team in a role focusing on guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aerospace applications. You will work on embedded algorithms, simulations, and real-time data validation for flight-worthy systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in MATLAB/Python/C++, experience with Kalman filters, HWIL, and multi-domain GNC sub-fields, and an interim clearance to start.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Interim Clearance is needed to start; must be a US Citizen.
• Shall be fluent in MATLAB, Python, C++.
• Shall have experience solving problems and relevant algorithm development in 6+ of the GNC sub-domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and verify embedded algorithms that perform inertial tracking, inertial navigation and/or sensor fusion
• Develop, validate, and test complex models & simulations using Kalman filters and other techniques to track targets
• Evaluate and analyze system performance in complex scenarios and verify system requirements
• Perform HWIL activities and support ground/flight test efforts
• Opportunities to join or lead teams of engineers and algorithm developers on various programs
