Job summary

AbbVie in the United States seeks a Laboratory Technician III to perform microbiology testing in a fast-paced GMP environment, supporting environmental monitoring, raw materials, in-process products, and final product release. The required Associate’s Degree in a scientific field is preferred with a Bachelor’s degree noted, and the A2 shift (5:45 PM–6:00 AM, Sun–Tue and alternating Saturdays) is part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
• Bachelor’s degree is listed as a qualification.
• Maintains required certifications for assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs test methods as written to support product/material release.
• Maintains a safe work environment in accordance with procedures.
• Maintains GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures and systems.
• Performs environmental monitoring with required equipment and frequency.
• Completes assigned tasks and collaborates to achieve business objectives.
• Revises procedures as necessary and provides support for department.
• Supports investigations.
• Performs laboratory techniques with minimal error.
