Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Instrumentation/Calibration Technician in Holly Springs, NC to support commissioning, startup, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a GMP pharmaceutical expansion.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in calibration or instrumentation and a two-year technical degree. This fully onsite role emphasizes safety and precise documentation in a regulated setting, with post‑six‑month perks and competitive pay.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, metrology, I&E, maintenance, military technical, or related field.
Experience in a highly regulated environment: GMP, Nuclear, Military, FDA regulated, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform process calibrations on temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, and pH instrumentation.
Support equipment startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
Conduct loop checks, loop calibrations, and troubleshoot instrumentation and manufacturing equipment.
Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, technical drawings, and instrumentation documentation.
Complete calibration records, maintenance documentation, and ensure GMP‑compliant paperwork.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
