Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Calibration and Instrumentation Technician for a fully onsite role in Wilson, NC. You will perform hands-on calibration and maintenance across process, utility, and manufacturing systems in a GMP environment, ensuring accurate 4-20 mA transmitters and related instrumentation operate reliably.

You will read drawings, document calibration records, and use CMMS to log work orders, contributing to safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement in a highly regulated

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in calibration, instrumentation, metrology, I&E, or maintenance roles.
• Experience troubleshooting in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments.
• Strong documentation and compliant record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform process calibrations on temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity and pH.
• Support commissioning and startup of process and utility systems.
• Execute routine and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Conduct loop checks and calibrations for 4-20 mA transmitters and control circuits.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and instrument documents.
• Document calibration records and maintenance logs clearly and timely.
• Utilize CMMS to record work and manage work orders.
• Follow GMP/GxP and quality standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations staff.
