Job summary

Cellicor is seeking two Construction Managers to support capital projects within a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment in the greater Providence, RI area. Ideal candidates will lead and coordinate contractors, read IFC drawings and P&IDs, ensure EHSS/GMP compliance, and drive project progress.

Projects typically involve upgrades and lifecycle improvements under $5M, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of field construction management in GMP/pharma or regulated environments.
• Experience overseeing multiple contractors and trades on capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices such as JHA, LOTO, and contractor safety management.
• Ability to read IFC drawings, P&IDs, and technical specs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in overseeing construction activities and contractor performance.
• Ensure contractors comply with EHSS, quality, and GMP requirements.
• Coordinate contractor prequalification, PWPs, JHAs, LOTO, MOPs, CURs, and crane lift plans.
• Verify documentation, safety approvals, and permits before construction begins.
• Attend daily coordination meetings and lead safety discussions before work starts.
• Maintain active field presence to monitor contractor safety, installation quality, and progress.
• Oversee multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, automation, CSA).
• Coordinate activities with manufacturing, engineering, facilities, and other departments.
• Read IFC drawings and P&IDs; verify installed materials meet specs.
• Oversee installation and testing per specifications and standards.
• Monitor progress and provide updates against schedules.
• Maintain training compliance and serve as primary field representative for PMs.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress, safety concerns, and issues.
