Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group invites applications for an Associate Director of Graduate Medical Education to join our Medical Education team. This is a full-time role based out of our Washington, DC regional office with a hybrid work model.

The Associate Director oversees GME programs and ensures ongoing accreditation, partnering with DIO, program leadership, and affiliated institutions to advance GME strategy and operations within the MAPMG/KPMAS region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or higher in education, organizational development, or a related field preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in medical education or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an ACGME-accredited residency program with demonstrated knowledge of current ACGME standards.
• Experience managing complex programs within a healthcare or academic medical environment.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support ACGME accredited residency and fellowship programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with institutional and program requirements.
• Partner with the DIO, Director of Medical Education, program leadership, and affiliated institutions to advance GME strategy and operations.
• Lead institutional accreditation efforts, including ADS updates, IR submissions, and action plans for program improvement.
• Manage GMEC meetings, materials, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain GME policies, procedures, educational resources, and faculty development tools.
