Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Program Coordinator I to oversee day-to-day administration of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine-based Fellowships and to support the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The role partners with the Program Director and Administrative Manager-GME to ensure educational quality and regulatory compliance.

The PCI coordinates educational activities, schedules, and evaluations, and supports accreditation processes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in Graduate Medical Education environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a regulatory setting.
• Effective communication with fellows, faculty, and staff across sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate educational activities (didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds) to support Fellowship curriculum and meet ACGME requirements.
• Provide guidance to residents/fellows on program policies and non-clinical aspects of the program.
• Coordinate creation and monitoring of rotation, clinic, and call schedules; update as needed for accuracy.
• Assist with resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations for IM Residency and Fellowships.
• Support accreditation activities (ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews) as needed.
• Monitor and support fellowship duty hour reporting and GME policy compliance; assist IM Residency accordingly.
• Coordinate fellowship recruitment and selection processes and assist the IM Residency process.
