Job summary

PeopleTec is seeking a GMD DevSecOps Engineer in Huntsville, AL to architect, build, and scale the IDDE DevSecOps environment. You will drive Terraform-based infrastructure, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver secure software in hybrid cloud environments.

You will collaborate with cyber engineers, embed security in pipelines, and maintain documentation for releases while operating under DoD standards and a SECRET-level clearance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using Terraform for complex Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
• Proficiency in building, deploying, and managing containerized environments using Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on operational experience working within enterprise cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Proven experience in Windows Server administration, Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Demonstrated experience in STIG analysis, deployment orchestration, and security/code scanning tools.
• Prior experience with Integrated Development Environments, such as Coder.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (Required for baseline DoD compliance).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required.
• Active security clearance (Secret or above) is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and provision the IDDE DevSecOps environment using Terraform for scalable, repeatable deployments.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized apps and microservices with Kubernetes for high availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Act as system administrator across hybrid clouds (AWS and Azure); manage tool deployment and AD/GPO config.
• Collaborate with cyber engineers to embed security and code scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deliverables, create infrastructure documentation, and manage complex deployment orchestration.
