Job summary

APEX TK is seeking an experienced GMD DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. You will architect, build, and scale the IDDE DevSecOps environment, integrating security into CI/CD and managing hybrid cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).

You will work across Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD tools, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and detailed documentation for deployments and releases.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience.
• Active security clearance (SECRET or above) required.
• Hands-on Terraform IaC deployments.
• Experience building and managing Kubernetes environments.
• Automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Operational experience in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Windows Server administration and Active Directory experience.
• STIG analysis and security tooling integration into pipelines.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and provision the IDDE DevSecOps environment with Terraform for scalable deployments.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized apps and microservices with Kubernetes.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to fully automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Act as a system administrator across hybrid cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
• Collaborate on STIG evaluation, security tooling integration, and CI/CD security.
• Support releases, create documentation, and manage deployment orchestration.
