Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Greensboro, NC for a nine to fifteen month training program designed to prepare a high-potential Operations Manager to become a General Manager. The role will be assigned to a Tier One Customer site or a larger site with multiple customers, with a 1st shift from 7am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience managing a 100,000+ sq ft warehouse/distribution center with up to $1M in revenues.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to become certified in one or more.

Responsibilities

• Learn how a General Manager leads Managers/Supervisors to ensure inventory accuracy and shipment procedures.
• Develop and manage a facility strategy by shaping requirements, assessing deliverables and utilizing resources.
• Learn to forecast labor needs based on sales and historical data and analyze workload vs. labor hours.
• Review and audit billing activity, approve PO requisitions, vouchers and customer billing.
