Job summary

Colleton River Club, Bluffton, SC, seeks a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead a premier private community and multiple facilities. The role requires a forward-thinking, high-visibility leader with strong financial acumen and people development skills.

You will partner with the Board to set priorities, manage large-scale capital initiatives, and ensure exceptional member service while preserving the club’s distinctive culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in private member-owned clubs or resort/hospitality operations.
• Experience within HOA/POA governance is preferred.
• Strong financial leadership and capability to guide capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with the Board, leadership team, employees, and members.
• Provide clear strategic direction and accountability across all departments.
• Oversee capital improvements and renovation projects within approved budgets.
• Focus on member experience, service quality, and value for dues.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing management team.
