Ideal candidates have 7+ years of senior private club or hospitality leadership, with CCM or CCE preferred.

Job description

Grosse Pointe Yacht Club in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, is seeking a General Manager / Chief Operating Officer to lead a tradition-rich, member-owned club on the shore of Lake St. Clair. Approaching its 2029 Centennial, the Club offers an engaged membership, an experienced leadership team, and a significant waterfront property with a Centennial Capital Project planned.

The GM/COO oversees all Club operations, including dining, events, harbor, racquets, sailing, finance, membership, and facilities. First-year priorities include establishing consistent service standards, strengthening food and beverage and financial performance, and building a strong foundation for the Centennial era.

The Club seeks a hands-on, member-facing leader with 7+ years of senior private club or hospitality experience and a proven record of elevating service, managing complex facilities, and developing high-performing teams. CCM or CCE preferred. Competitive compensation, performance bonus, and relocation support offered.
