FGA is looking for an experienced Lead and Intermediate OEM GM Controls engineer with a drive to advance their career. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with General Motors projects.

Job Description:

  • Powertrain, Body or Battery Shop Experience
  • Lead a team of Controls Engineers
  • Build customer relationships
  • Approve timesheets and expenses
  • Assist with electrical and software design as needed
  • Start-up, debug, and troubleshoot robotic automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer sites
  • Enhance throughput at customer sites

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior Lead Controls Engineer with 8+ years of experience
  • Intermediate Controls Engineer with 3+ years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of PLC, HMI, and robotic integration using Control Logix and/or Siemens hardware
  • Extensive commissioning experience
  • Hardware and software design experience
  • Body Shop experience is a plus
  • Safety commissioning
  • GM GCCS2, GCCH1 certified
  • Green Lock certification
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations

Requirements:

  • Up to 90% travel required
  • Valid North American Passport (Canada, US, Mexico)
  • Degree or cedula (Mexico)
