A leading automotive company seeks an experienced engineer to develop and document automotive system requirements. This role involves managing OEM partners, overseeing development activities, and contributing technical expertise while ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and relevant technical experience, including HMI, PLC, and robotics.
Job Description
Develop and document requirements for designing automotive systems. Manage OEM partners to ensure standards compliance. Contribute technical expertise to support operations. Design and manage key interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and adherence to standard methodologies. Oversee requirements and development activities in coordination with other teams. Support specialists in root cause analysis. Capture and analyze empirical data. Design tests to identify opportunities for design improvements. Identify system vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans. Track corrective actions. Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Travel up to 25% to client sites nationwide. Telecommuting available two days a week.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Shift Leader Maintenance and Controls, Shift Leader Maintenance, Group Leader Maintenance, or similar role.
- 5 years experience with Siemens HMI and PLC, Rockwell HMI and PLC, and machine electronics debugging.
- 3 years experience reviewing and approving wiring schematics for design acceptance.
- 2 years experience with Fanuc Robots.
- 1 year experience with Siemens CNC, Fanuc CNC, project management, and project launch and delivery.
