Job summary

Southern Champion Tray’s Chattanooga, TN plant is seeking a production assistant to safely feed and pack product, maintaining target run speeds. You will monitor blanks, check quality, and alert the Operator to issues to prevent downtime.

Responsibilities include packing cartons, maintaining proper case counts, and keeping the work area clean under Food Safety and 5S standards. Teamwork, PPE adherence, and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills and the ability to use software.

Responsibilities

• Safely feed/pack product at the target speed for each run.
• Observe blanks, check quality, and alert operators to issues or jams.
• Maintain appropriate blank levels to avoid run interruptions.
• Pack cartons and ensure correct case counts and proper labeling.
• Maintain a clean work area following 5S and Food Safety standards.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to improve operations.
