Job summary

American Games is seeking an experienced Gluer Machine Operator to join our Press team in Council Bluffs, IA. This hands-on role requires you to set up, operate, monitor and troubleshoot high-speed gluer equipment, taking ownership of a machine and helping lead a production crew.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in machine operation, strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read schedules and blueprints, and solid leadership to train others.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of machine operation experience in print production or manufacturing.
• Experience with finishing equipment or high-speed production equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read production schedules, specifications and blueprints.
• Willingness to lead and train production crew.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor and troubleshoot the Gluer Machine.
• Coordinate crew activities and monitor quality to meet daily goals.
• Manage sheet transport, registration and glue application systems.
• Perform start-up procedures, calibration and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead feeder operators and helpers; train backups.
• Maintain production reports and shift documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and communicate issues.
