Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Gluer Operator to run and monitor carton forming lines and glue applications. You will adjust equipment, inspect finished cartons and support line staffing to ensure steady production.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience and 2–5 years on Bobst Alpina and Jagenberg gluers, with flexibility for shifts and overtime. Safety and quality compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2-5 years Gluer operator experience on a Bobst Alpina and Jagenberg gluer.
• 2- 5 years operator experience (non-gluer) considered.
• Excellent attendance and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Verifies that correct job is running based on production schedule.
• Adjusts forming bars to accommodate size of box to be shaped (perform make-ready).
• Fills glue pots with adhesive and positions rollers to dispense glue onto paperboard.
• Observes machine operation to detect malfunction.
• Inspects cartons for flaws.
• Make mechanical adjustments on machines.
• Train Finishing Helpers and Finishing Operator Assistants.
• Complete Daily Management boards with root cause and corrective action plans.
• Able to perform all duties of a Finishing Helper when glue line is short-handed.
