Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety professional to join the Global Standards & Procedures team to create, implement, and review WHS programs for Amazon operations worldwide. A strong background in health and safety management and program leadership is required.

The role leads cross-functional WHS procedures, partners with multiple stakeholders, and travels up to 10% to ensure global standardization and effective execution of safety initiatives across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver medium to large, cross-functional WHS procedures that serve major parts of the business. These may also be global in nature.
• Develop, review, approve and improve internal policies and procedures in the respect of the countries WHS legal and Amazon Global Standards requirements.
• Implement and track WHS programs and provide execution support to field operations.
• Drive WHS programs and best practice standardization at both Regional and Global level.
• Recommend improvements to programs scoping, building, testing and deployment across the company.
• Partner with key stakeholders such as RME, Procurement, SLeD, Compliance Assurance, Audits, Legal, etc in the development and continued improvement of high-risk operations procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
