Job summary

Amazon seeks a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager in Illinois to lead the Global WHS Program implementation, combining hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect associates and drive operational excellence.

You will conduct risk assessments, analyze safety data, lead audits, manage first aid and emergency response, and influence leaders to embed safety into daily operations. Travel 50-70% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global WHS Program implementation and be the site's safety champion.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyze safety data to drive improvements.
• Lead safety compliance efforts, site audits, and incident-trend analyses.
• Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities at the site.
• Travel 50-70% of the time to support multiple sites and operations.
