Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced transportation manager to build strong partnerships with internal business partners, support scaling the organization, manage escalations, and roll out tooling to drive logistical efficiency across 1 GW data center sites with 7-day operations on a 5-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Must be available to work an 8-hour shift within a 12-hour operational window (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with flexibility required for occasional weekend coverage as needed.
• Engage with internal customers to understand their current and future needs, and shape the team's customer-facing vision and roadmap in support of it.
• Manage and coordinate the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment within the organization's facilities, developing efficient transportation routes and schedules for timely delivery.
• Negotiate competitive carrier and transportation rates, and conduct regular benchmarking against industry peers to identify and implement rate-reduction opportunities.
• Develop and maintain carrier relationships to ensure high-quality service and compliance with organizational standards.
• Conduct regular carrier performance reviews covering service quality, on-time performance, and claims management.
• Develop and negotiate carrier contracts to secure competitive rates and terms.
• Develop and track KPIs (on-time delivery, transit times, cost reporting) to measure carrier performance, and analyze the data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with organizational goals.
• Manage international shipments while ensuring import/export compliance.
