Job summary

USP is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Program Associate to support Expert Volunteer Operations and Government Liaison engagements. You will manage relationships, coordinate events, and ensure compliant, positive volunteer experiences in a global, hybrid environment.

The role emphasizes building a connected volunteer community, forging partnerships, and delivering high-quality engagement programs with strong reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of professional experience in health/global science.
• 3 years of experience defining and executing strategy on large scale events.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies to enhance global volunteer experience.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating groups of volunteers or experts.

Responsibilities

• Within the approved budget, collaborate with leadership to plan and execute events.
• Support engagement of USP Expert Volunteers, building a global community.
• Lead engagement for USP Volunteers and Stakeholders across events with up to 400 attendees.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to incorporate perspectives into planning.
• Conceptualize and implement engagement activities, including content curation and dialogue.
• Measure success by setting objectives, tracking metrics, and adjusting as needed.
• Ensure meetings and events meet goals and USP Core Values.
• Serve as main point of contact for staff and external service providers.
• Own processes across EVO functions including onboarding, training, and governance.
• Maintain integrity of volunteer data and reporting with controls and accuracy.
• Collaborate to sustain engagement and adapt to shifting goals under leadership.
• Act as backup for team members to maintain business continuity.
