Job summary

DLA Careers in the United States seeks a Telecommunications Specialist to manage the worldwide voice infrastructure, including VoIP and DIPS. You will serve as the Primary NTS TCO and coordinate installation requests across DoD and affiliated networks.

The role requires experience with voice databases, E911 configurations, and networked telephony supporting DoD missions. This is a federal, full-time position with strict security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in designing and supporting complex communications systems for worldwide missions.
• Experience administering, provisioning enterprise telephone switching systems, including DIPS and VoIP.
• Experience advising on analog, digital, VoIP, and DIPS telecommunications systems for DoD and agency network access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Telecommunications Specialist managing voice infrastructure globally.
• Support soft phones, client applications, endpoints, LAN/WAN hardware and software.
• Manage voice databases and DIPS infrastructure, including E911 configurations.
• Analyze failures to isolate network, software, or hardware causes and initiate corrective action.
• Act as Primary NTS Telephone Control Office approving installation/relocation requests.
• Represent NTS Voices Services Branch Chief in meetings to investigate problems and establish procedures.
