Job summary

Amgen in the United States is seeking a Global Category Lead - Value & Access, Associate Director. This senior procurement role partners with Global and US Value & Access leaders to shape end-to-end category strategy.

You will drive supplier strategy, governance, and pricing and GTN outcomes through data, analytics, and demand management, influencing OPEX efficiency and value. The role offers flexible work models and a comprehensive total rewards plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in Value & Access/Market Access within biotech or pharma.
• Ability to translate pricing, reimbursement and evidence needs into category strategies.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and supplier economics.
• Experience shaping multi-year category strategies and governance.
• Analytical mindset with use of market intelligence and benchmarking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor on supplier capabilities and market dynamics.
• Build relationships across stakeholders in Global and US Value & Access.
• Develop multi-year category strategies including pricing and access services.
• Build supplier ecosystems with data, analytics and new operating models.
• Structure commercial models balancing capability, quality and value.
• Partner with Finance to improve OPEX productivity and GTN outcomes.
• Drive adoption of procurement-led initiatives and cross-functional opportunities.
• Establish KPIs and governance; monitor value, delivery and risk.
