Job summary

Gexpro Services seeks a Vertical Sourcing Leader for Transportation to develop and drive the commodity strategy for Hardware, Machined and Fabricated Components, Mechanicals, and Electrical categories globally. This role collaborates with Sourcing Management, Commodity Leaders, and Buyers to execute the strategy, focusing on cost reduction, on-time delivery, supplier development, and long-term agreements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Sourcing / Supply Chain / Procurement.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience negotiating Supplier Agreements and implementing/maintaining contract costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Transportation commodity strategy globally.
• Drive cost reduction via best cost country sourcing and supplier rationalization.
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers and manage long-term agreements.
• Collaborate with Sourcing Management, Commodity Leaders, and Buyers regionally.
• Identify cash flow improvements through inventory optimization and extended payment terms.
• Support new program implementation and supplier selection.
• Manage complex supplier contracts and monitor market conditions.
• Lead supplier visits and capability overviews.
