Job summary

Gexpro Services seeks a Vertical Sourcing Leader – Transportation to develop and drive the commodity strategy for Hardware, Machined and Fabricated Components, Mechanicals, and Electrical categories globally. The role collaborates with Sourcing Management, Commodity Leaders, Supplier Development, and Buyers regionally to improve revenue, profitability, risk, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and clear email/phone/web presentations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities to monitor spend and supplier performance.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing contract costs.
• Minimum 5 years in Sourcing, Supply Chain or Procurement.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute the Commodity Strategy for the Transportation vertical with annual volume of ~ $30MM.
• Drive sourcing initiatives: cost reduction, supplier development, and long-term agreements.
• Build strategic supplier relationships to meet cost-out and localization targets.
• Improve trade working capital via inventory optimization and favorable payment terms.
• Collaborate with DSG units to leverage total spend and supplier relationships.
• Support New Program Implementations with supplier selection and design-for-cost.
• Partner with Technical Sales to reduce costs via redesign or alternate sources.
• Resolve fulfillment, cost or quality escalations with purchasing.
