Job summary

State Industrial Solutions Corp is seeking a Vertical Sourcing Leader to develop and drive the Transportation commodity strategy globally. You will collaborate with Sourcing Management, Commodity Leaders, Supplier Development, and Buyers regionally to improve profitability, risk mitigation, and supplier performance.

The role focuses on strategic supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and supplier development while aligning with business units to optimize spend and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing contract costs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain or procurement.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute the Commodity Strategy for the Transportation vertical, with an annual volume of ~ $30MM.
• Drive sourcing initiatives including cost reduction via best cost country (BCC) and vendor rationalization, single source reductions, on-time delivery and quality improvements, supplier development, and long-term agreements.
• Build strategic supplier relationships globally to meet cost-out targets and localization requirements through negotiations and new supplier development.
• Identify and execute strategies to improve trade working capital and free cash flow via inventory optimization and extended payment terms.
• Collaborate with DSG Business Units and Acquisitions to leverage total spend and supplier relationships to improve operating results.
• Support ITO Leader and ITO Sourcing on New Program Implementation and supplier selection to positively impact commodity strategy.
