Job summary

Collectors is seeking a Director of Transportation & Logistics to build and lead a global shipping and trade compliance capability, starting with PSA. You will own carrier relationships, transport networks, and shipping systems, and build a regional team across the US, EU, and APAC.

This role requires onsite work five days a week and travel. You will report to the VP of Operations and drive cost-to-serve improvements while partnering with Finance, Risk, and Legal.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain leadership.
• Experience negotiating carrier contracts across parcel, express, and international lanes.
• Experience implementing and using a TMS and ERP/WMS systems as the senior business owner.
• Working knowledge of customs, import/export, and trade compliance.
• Experience designing standardized shipping processes at scale across multiple sites or regions.

Responsibilities

• Own global carrier strategy and portfolio across parcel, express, international, and freight; lead RFPs and negotiate rates, surcharges, service levels, liability, and claims terms.
• Own the global transportation network and carrier strategy across parcel, express, international, freight, 3PLs; optimize routing and capacity by lane and region.
• Structure contract terms to protect high-value shipments and align with Finance forecasts and budgets.
• Run carrier governance: scorecards, reviews, SLA enforcement, invoicing, spend visibility, and contingency planning.
• Own the transportation systems roadmap with Product & Technology, including TMS selection and adoption.
• Provide end-to-end shipment visibility through IMS, WMS, ERP, and carrier data.
• Design global shipping processes and oversee the high-value transport program and insurance.
