Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. seeks a Director, Transportation & Logistics to build and lead global shipping, transportation, and trade compliance capabilities. The role starts with PSA and reports to the VP, Operations, with onsite work in our US offices.

You will own carrier relationships, contracts, spend, and systems (TMS, ERP/WMS), and build a regional logistics team across the US, EU, and APAC to drive efficiency and resilience for high-value shipments.

Qualifications

10+ years in transportation, logistics or supply chain leadership.
Proven ability to negotiate carrier contracts across parcel, express and international lanes.
Experience implementing and using a TMS and ERP/WMS systems as the senior business owner.
Working knowledge of customs, import/export, and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

Own the global carrier strategy and portfolio; lead RFPs and negotiate rates and terms.
Own the global transportation network; optimize routing, mode, and capacity by lane and region.
Structure contract terms aligned with forecasts, budgets and accruals.
Run carrier governance: scorecards, SLA enforcement, freight audit, and spend visibility.
Own the transportation systems roadmap with Product & Technology; drive adoption of TMS and analytics.
Provide end-to-end shipment visibility through IMS, WMS, ERP, and carrier data.
Build global shipment visibility and exception-management capabilities.
