Job summary

Soltec is seeking a Transportation & Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics Team in the United States. You will manage and optimize domestic transportation activities, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across the US, with a focus on cost optimization and service quality.

Responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating, and managing road, rail, and inland transportation providers, developing KPI reports, and coordinating shipments from suppliers to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation and logistics in the United States.
• Proven ability to source, audit and negotiate domestic transport contracts.
• Experience with FTL/LTL, rail, and other inland modes.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/TMS systems such as SAP, ERP, and MS Dynamics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and contract domestic transportation services (FTL, LTL, rail) across the United States.
• Manage transportation costs by identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain a competitive network of carriers, rail operators, brokers, and logistics providers.
• Request, analyze, and compare freight quotations to ensure pricing and service levels.
• Negotiate freight rates, terms, surcharges, and other commercial conditions with providers.
• Coordinate shipments from suppliers to project sites and other destinations.
