Job summary

Amazon Global Transportation & Logistics (GTL) seeks a Transportation Coordinator to support daily North America operations, coordinating palletized freight and small parcels, tracking shipments, and resolving exceptions to meet customer promises.

You will partner with carriers and RAD Operations teams to optimize service levels, provide proactive updates, and ensure timely deliveries in a fast-paced setting. This role emphasizes customer focus and cost-conscious decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate both less than truckload and full truckload palletized freight shipments and small parcel packages across North America fulfillment locations.
• Use multiple carrier platforms and shipping systems to generate labels, book shipments, and confirm carrier pickups.
• Rate quote customer shipping requests and make service-level decisions balancing customer obsession and frugality.
• Identify transportation consolidation opportunities to optimize cost and reduce shipment volume.
• Track shipments in transit from origin to destination, monitoring status across parcel, LTL, and ground networks.
• Action shipments with exceptions and delays, escalating with carriers and customer service teams to drive resolution.
• Conduct shipment inquiries, file freight claims and support customer shipment investigations, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot shipping errors and resolve issues end-to-end, escalating complex problems when necessary.
• Provide customer experience support by setting and managing customer delivery appointments when required.
• Communicate daily pickup projections and volume forecasts to carriers to ensure capacity alignment.
• Support RAD Operations shipping teams with transportation coordination and shipment execution needs.
• Communicate professionally via email and phone with parcel, LTL, and FTL transportation providers.
